Simulating Physics in Product Design

This workshop will illustrate how, wherever designs involve novel materials or exploit the combination of physical phenomena, simulation becomes essential to predict and optimise the operation of a product. The presenter will discuss the role of physics-based simulation in product design, from fundamental analysis for research purposes through to the shape and dimension choices for a specific 3D design intended for manufacturing. The presenter will introduce capabilities of COMSOL Multiphysics® and the fundamental modelling workflow, as well as give a live presentation of the entire analysis process via a practical example.
