Collaborative robots are commonly used in many different industries to automate repetitive operations. One key limit is the robot operating range, as many times there is a need to move the whole unit horizontally or vertically. In this session we will analyse innovative plug-and-play solutions to add one or more axis to a standard universal robot, effectively increasing the operating area of the robot, hence its productivity and usability. Some real in-the-field applications will be shown to demonstrate the practical advantages of these solutions.
