UK Space Agency leads speaker line-up at EDS 2017

11 September 2017

The UK Space Agency will be identifying the opportunities for design engineers to get involved in the UK’s thriving space sector as part of their talk in the Eureka! conference programme at EDS 2017 at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on 18-19 October.

‘LaunchUK: Opportunities in space for design engineers’ will be the subject for Claire Barcham, who is Satellite Launch Programme Director at the UK Space Agency.

As part of its ambition to grow the UK’s share of the global space market to 10% by 2030, the Government has announced exciting plans to take the UK into the commercial space age by enabling small satellite launch and spaceflight from UK spaceports.

Claire will discuss in detail how the UK Space Agency is leading a major programme of work to help the UK’s engineers, scientists and academics to seize new opportunities to get involved in the UK’s space sector.

With several opportunities for design engineers expected in new launch services, Claire will deliver this exciting presentation from 12:15-13:00 on Wednesday 18th October.

EDS combines the Engineering, Electronics and Embedded Design Show and will feature 22 conference sessions with powerful content providing insights into the future of engineering design. For the full conference programme, please visit
